Fine or coarse screens with rectangular bars, manually or mechanically raked, for the removal of screenings from inlet channels. Front-raked bar screens are typically inclined at 45° whilst mechanical screens are inclined 15° from the vertical.
Lektratek mechanical screens operate on the front-rake principal and have a variable discharge height to suit the application, i.e. wheelbarrows or conveyors etc. Operational options offered are manual or automatic via timer and/or differential level control.
Handrake screens manufactured in various materials can be offered to suit new and existing inlet works channels
The Lektratek linear screen has been developed to remove solid material from the effluent entering the treatment works. Various belt apertures are available to suit differing conditions and screenings loadings.
Level or inclined troughed belt and spiral screw (shafted or ribbon) conveyors specially designed for the conveyance of screenings from the screen(s) to a compactor and/or waste disposal container. Wash facilities can be incorporated to remove organic and fecal material back to the inlet flow.
The Lektratek screw type compactor has been specially developed for the dewatering and compaction of screenings from domestic and many industrial effluents containing paper, rags, plastic, faecal matter and other hydrous materials.
Screenings deposited in the receiving hopper gravitate into the screw chamber where initial dewatering takes place. From the screw chamber the screenings are propelled by the screw into the compression chamber where final dewatering takes place after which the denatured screenings are conveyed through the discharging tube to the disposal point. Wash facilities can be incorporated in the receiving hopper to remove organic and faecal material back to the inlet flow.
