Aeration

BIOLAGICAL REACTOR TOPmain

VERTICAL SHAFT, SLOW SPEED, AERATORS

aer1Vertical shaft, slow speed aerators are ideal for the bacterial oxidisation of effluent by the transfer of oxygen from the atmosphere and to provide the necessary turbulence to maintain homogenisation and mixing between the live medium, the polluting elements and the water thus oxygenated. Oxygen transfer rates are proportional to the power absorbed at the aerator shaft and this, in turn, is governed by the size, speed and immersion of the turbine.

Lektratek aerator impellers are rag free in operation, have a high pumping capability suitable for low and high-energy applications and produce a stable wave formation with a minimum of erratic splashing and negligible airborne mist. An additional feature of the Lektratek aerator is that the design is such that power input, and hence the oxygenation input, can be reduced to approximately 80% of the design figure by reversing the direction of rotation.

Typical vertical shaft aerators employed on conventional effluent and waste water plants platform mounted on fixed concrete bridges.

Tri-float units are ideal for open water aeration of ponds or lakes where the dissolved oxygen content is to be increased without specific reference to BOD removal

FINE BUBBLE AERATION (FBDA)

Disc diffusers

If you are considering Fine Bubble Diffused Aeration, we have installed and you can rely on our experience with strip diffusers, tube diffusers and disc diffusers.

Some of the benefits of FBDA systems

  • Less energy consumption
  • Smaller aeration tank footprint as the tanks can be constructed deeper
  • Less mechanical equipment = less maintenance

Our energy efficient, low noise FBDA technology uses bio solids as a biological mass carrier in the water system to remove organic pollutants from waste water to achieve higher transfer efficiencies, maximum oxygen absorption and minimum energy consumption.

Our systems are ideal for deep tanks as the contact time with oxygen in the air bubbles increases and this in turn has the benefit of a smaller area or foot print required for the basin.

Another feature of our systems are flexibility and can speed up or down to meet the reduced oxygen demand related to water volume fluctuation.

Our systems can be installed in basins previously fitted with horizontal aerators without any civil modifications required but with obvious benefits like less energy required, higher efficiencies, better transfer rates to mention a few.

We partner with experienced equipment suppliers to provide the solution that will eventually exceed the expectations and can supply centrifugal, turbo or positive displacement blowers and disc, tube or strip diffusers as required.

HORIZONTAL SHAFT AERATORS

roll aerators 4

The Lektratek horizontal shaft aerator is an ideal unit for a new or replacement application in oxidation ditches. The blades, which are in a radial star formation clamped to the centre tube, are rag free in operation and can be easily repositioned to suit the particular power requirements per meter of shaft length. Repositioning and addition of extra blades can easily increase oxygenation input at a later stage

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION

The full range of equipment, designed, manufactured and installed by Lektratek Water Technology, can be supplied in a variety of materials to suit all operating and environmental conditions
